Unable to send or receive messages using mail.yahoo.co.uk

A customer not being able to send and receive mails can be attributed to several sources of issues – a few at the end of the recipient and a few at the end of the sender. Customers are recommended to browse through the detailed explanations of the common errors and issues complained by the customers in the web portals, and make themselves aware of the basic source of technical glitches and the possible troubleshooting techniques. It must be understood that an email goes through a lot of processes before getting delivered to the recipient’s mail box. Any issues in any of the intervening processes could render an error in sending or receiving mails.

A few of the common issues which leads to failure of sending and receiving mails are mentioned below:-
  • One of the most common sources of error in sending and receiving mails is due to error in protocol. This issue is mainly prevalent for users who access their mail accounts using a mobile app. The mismatch of protocol being used by the mobile app and that of the Yahoo server causes error in sending mails
  • There can be cases when the email service provider in the recipient’s end is down or is temporarily under maintenance. Under such scenarios, the email sent from the sender’s mail may end up getting lost in the queue or get bounced back to the receiver
  • There may be a case when the recipient’s mail box is full, or there is a typo error in the email id of the recipient. This is mostly the case, when the destination email account is not the primary email id of the recipient or is a dormant account which is not referred frequently by the customer
  • Customers must note that there is a minimum network speed and bandwidth which is required for a mail to be sent across the network. There are times when the internet speed at the sender’s end is too slow to send the mail. In such scenarios, customers are requested to open their mail account in basic account and remove all special and cosmetic formatting performed on the content. This would use less network band width to process the mail

For all such issues, customers are advised to browse the error messages (if any) being displayed in the bounced mails. This would help them gauge the actual issue of the error and track them. Customers can also call the Yahoo customer care number team, who based on the nature of the issue would route the call to Email Help Technical Support team for instant solutions.
